The word perennial means something that lasts or exists for a long or apparently infinite amount of time. In partnership with Windows of Opportunity, this toque will support the implementation of a drip irrigation system. This system will allow farmers in Kajo Keji to stagger planting/harvesting and increase product yield when the market supplies are usually low.
Windows of Opportunity is an agricultural cooperative in Kajo Keji, South Sudan. The co-op is operated by locals and teaches horticulture skills to community members. The farm aims to source local knowledge and supplies from the region to grow a sustainable program while supporting local markets. During midday when it’s too hot to work in the fields, members of the cooperative take English lessons to expand their horizon of opportunities.
